After taking up Matt’s offer (the owner), I have made up with this place. They explained what was going on, advised, were prompt with communication and service……..and even threw in cleaning the car beautifully. As such I am changing my previous 1 star review to a 5.Previous review:Dominique at reception was lovely and helpful. However when it came to ?Michael? who I assume is one of the managers…..gruff to the point of being rude. First time service outside of a BMW dealership and all I can say is, outstanding service and care! I had new tyres fitted and a mechanical fault rectified. Here’s how good my first experience with BMTech Canterbury was. I personally dropped in to discuss replacing a trim on my wing mirror after it was hit in the street overnight. Long story short – booked in for the following week, and they guys called me after having the car for a couple of hours to say they’d had a good look but it wasn’t worth fiddling with as the problem would recur anyway. When I went to collect it I pulled out my wallet to pay, but they said “no charge – we really didn’t do anything.” They had actually done plenty. They had set aside a space in their workshop and time for one of their technicians to attend to it. They looked into the problem and explained it to me, including how to manage it going forward. I’m very grateful for this unexpectedly old school local service, and I’ll be back.

I have been a client of bmtech since 2009. I drive an older 1980s 6 series bmw which Joe, Carl and the team at Bmtech have been maintaining since i took ownership. The reason that i choose bmtech is not only their expertise with all things bmw, but i have found them to be honest and freindly and genuinely interested in solving tricky issues with my car. This in contrast to my experience with dealer based service opoerations where sometimes you feel like are just a number in a queue. Highly recommended. However as a customer of 14 years I was pretty disappointed that the 2023 change of ownership was not better communicated to customers. Joe Brogno, the previous owner was the main reason I have been a long term customer, i was sad to see the business change hands. I hope that the new owner is as attentive and helpful! Still 5 stars though but I wish they would have stayed a BMW specialist.

I own a classic BMW, so visits to the mechanic are a part of life, was back there a few weeks ago with a coolant leak that I couldn’t find. Turns out it was the radiator leaking in several places. On BM-Techs recommendations I opted to wait and get a genuine radiator from BMW rather than risk using one of the alternate brands I’ve used previously as they are now seemingly all made in china :(Was worth the wait and within days I was 300kms away at the Uncles farm, it ran perfectly there and back, Thanks to the team at BM-Tech Canterbury :)Previous: Great to find a BM specialist closer to home thanks to the recommendations of the BMW Drivers club. Knowledgeable and affordable servicing and their mechanics seem to have great diagnostic skills.

I was impressed with the level of professionalism shown. When I walked in I was greeted straight away, everything was explained clearly so I knew exactly what the cost was going to be so there would be no surprises when it came time to pay the bill. The loan car I received was spotless both inside and out and when I got my car back, it too was vacuumed and washed, even the wheels. In fact, the whole experience was better than at any BMW workshop I went to over the years. The work done on the car was done to a very high level and I am happy with the way the car runs now.All in all, a fantastic stress free experience and I cannot recommend them high enough to anyone seeking an alternative to the BMW dealership workshops.

Engaging BM Tech Canterbury to service my BMW X5 M50D was one of the best decisions l have ever made. They provide very open and honest advice and their assessments of what needs to be either repaired or replaced are highly accurate. Michael has been great. He explains everything in plain English and ensures that my vehicle is ready on time. When l pick up my X5 it is very clean and immediately feels good when l drive away. I totally trust the BM Tech team and l have found their pricing to be very fair and reasonable. I have just had my car serviced at BM Tech Canterbury for the first time. I was unsure who to use for my (new to me BMW) After a phone call to discuss, I felt I had found the right place. Arrived to friendly staff and was appointed a service advisor. Carl stepped me through the process and discussed any issues I was having with the car. He then sent me off in one their courtesy cars. As per explanation Carl was in contact with me soon after to explain what the car needed. All completed on time with no unnecessary work done, car was also cleaned! Able to organize a suitable time when booking in. I was greeted by my assigned service advisor on the day, who explained what the service involved, and called me later to explain what was required and the cost. There was a problem with my Audi a4 heat pump and the coolant system . One of my mates highly recommended BM tech at Canterbury, specially Michael. I explained the problem to him over phone and he provided me a quote on replacing the heat pump and also suggested they do a full car inspection to identify other problems if any. During the course of the repair Michael kept me posted on the progress and sought my consent on the repair cost before doing the repairs. He also provided me a loan car for 2 days , something they don’t do often. In the end I was very happy with their service, not to mention the 5 year warranty on the parts replaced.

Highly recommended! Don’t be fooled (like I was) that having your car serviced at a BMW Mini Dealership is your best option. Carl & the team at BM Tech are passionate experts, who can be trusted to really look after both your treasured vehicle as well as you, the paying customer. They are honest and are clearly motivated by doing a great job and forming a long standing and trusting relationship with their customers. Their service pricing is significantly lower than dealerships, and they are not constantly trying to get you to spend even more money on additional things which are not actually required or necessary at that point in time. I wish I had started taking my car to BMTech years ago. I would have saved thousands $$$.
